Ramblers Rest
must visit
new stylish refurb
We were very kindly invited to the Ramblers rest in Coulsdon. I was so excited as hadn’t visited the Gastro pub since i was a child.
The staff welcomed us into the stunning new refurbed pub with huge friendly faces. I cant stress enough how the staff made us feel.
We firstly came through to the bar as was treated to a delicious Rhubarb gin, the new drinks menu is divine and definitely worth a visit to work your way through! The bar is simply beautiful, the new interior is something you can tell they have worked very hard on. It is all so elegant and stylish but works so well with the old listed building.
Who is it for?
So being a family myself i was keen to find out if the Ramblers rest was child friendly. I had a look at the children’s menu and spoke to the staff about the ingredients in the meals. They explained they are very passionate about feeding children nutritional meals, nothing you find on the menu is processed.
You must visit!
I also spotted the dog bowls, and its an idyllic place to stop after a walk in the surrounding woodland walks.
The Ramblers rest also caters for vegans and have a fully extensive Vegan menu.
The Menu
We were definitely spoilt for choice, I will 100% be going back to try out some more!
Starters range from £7-£12
Mains £11-£26
Deserts £6-£8
Sharing birdcage is a must at £16
My thoughts
I was blown away with the stylish yet still rustic feel of the Ramblers Rest. If you follow me over on my instagram you will know about my new obsession with green and wow the elegant velvety green sofas did not disappoint.
The food we could not fault and the amount of choice was actually tricky to pick!
The staff were incredible, so knowledgeable and friendly.
